Statistics: Russia’s unemployment rises to 5.0% in September
MOSCOW, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s unemployment increased to 5.0% of the labor force, or 3.8 million people, in September, from 4.9% in August, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday providing preliminary results.
The number of unemployed people registered with employment services amounted to 700,000, including 600,000 that received unemployment benefits.
The number of economically active people stood at 76.6 million.
